Orchid Plant

The orchid plant is a term used to describe over 22,000 species of flowers.Most people aren’t aware of the prevalence this flower has, and are shocked when they find out. Although this number doesn’t seem like it could get any larger, it does, and several hundred new species are discovered each year adding to the total.

An orchid plant is a flower that many people choose to take on potting as a hobby. They are a resilient plant that doesn’t require very much special attention, other than their need for a well designed drainage pot to prevent waterlog. This is one characteristic of an orchid; they can’t flourish in an overly wet pot for more than a couple of days.

An orchid plant is becoming a common household decoration. The add color and life to a space, and symbolize love, beauty, and luxury, which is fitting for a home environment. Whether they are real or fake, orchids are considered very aesthetically pleasing and are an exotic flower that adds class to any space.
