Orchid Pot
A well designed orchid pot is essential in the overall lifespan of the flower. This particular flower does not thrive in an environment where their soil is overly wet. Although some of the species flourishes in humid climates, it is advised that when dealing with a potted species they be watered on average once a week.
An orchid pot can be designed to extend the life of the plant. The container used to hold an orchid can be made of different material; however, they need to have a few specific characteristics. The container must have drainage holes to prevent waterlog. Now because there are so many different species of this flower, each may require a slightly different need such as, a basket container that allow for better circulation of the roots, or a terracotta container for orchids that tend to be drought resistant.
A plastic orchid pot may be a smart investment considering they need to be repotted periodically for optimum beauty. There are several signs that the flower may need to be repotted, the first is that the flower has simply outgrown its container. The second is that the container itself has become ragged in appearance suggesting a breakdown. When these signs occur, it is an indication that the flower needs to be moved into a new home.
